Collection: Hammy's Un-Paper Cotton Flannel Towels

Introducing our "Un-Paper" Cotton Flannel Towels - a sustainable, reusable alternative to disposable paper towels. Made from soft cotton flannel and conveniently sold in a set of 10 designed to fit on your repurposed cardboard tube.

These versatile towels can be used to clean up spills, dry hands, and even used as napkins. Plus, they'll get softer and more absorbent with every use!

Why Use Hammy's Up-Paper Cotton Flannel Towels?

They are Versatile:

  • Roll them on the tube (ideally a paper towel tube you would toss in the trash) to use in place of paper towels to clean up spills.
  • Fold them and place them in a basket of your choice!
  • They can be used as napkins, or place mats, hand towels and more.

They are Handmade:

  • They are made of 100% Cotton Flannel and serged around the edges to prevent fraying.
  • Each towel measures 10"x11'1/4" and fits most towel holders and paper towel tubes. Why these dimensions? We use ALL of the width of the fabric to avoid waste in producing them.
  • We pre-wash all fabric before sewing our towels to prevent further shrinkage and increase softness and absorbancy.
  • They are sewn in Pennsylvania, by me.

They are Easy to Care for:

  • Simply machine wash cold, tumble dry on low. No need to iron.
  • Do NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets-it affects the absorbancy.
  • They'll get softer with each washing.
  • Instead, use our wonderful Alpaca fiber dryer balls!
  • They easily roll up on your paper towel roll because the flannel sticks to itself.

They Save You Money

  • They are reusable and washable and can reduce the use of disposable paper towels (which we still use for some things, but MUCH less!)
  • The average family goes through 1 1/2-2 rolls of disposable paper towels a week. Disposable paper towels cost between $1-$4 for a roll of 80-100 sheets. 2 rolls per week really adds up over time as most are used one time and thrown away.

They Are Pretty

  • They are available in many patterns and themes.
  • They make wonderful GIFTS!

What does Hammy have to do with this?

  • Raising alpacas has taught us the real basics of using what you have to make what you need.
  • From fiber to fabric, from alpaca poop to wonderful gardens. using everything and wasting nothing is so important to being responsible stewards of our environment, and Hammy has become our mascot and teacher.
