“It all starts with the tree for me.”
Mike, a friend of Jack’s
Wisdom comes from everywhere and Mike, is full of life’s wisdom. He was at the gingerbread baking event and I told him that I was having a hard time getting into the spirit this year, telling him that I had just gotten our tree and couldn’t even smell it. He said that he been not really in the spirit had either, but then, as soon as he got his tree he felt “it”. Here I am back to how lack of smell affects perspective. Anyone else experiencing this? As for our gingerbread judging? You have a until tomorrow at noon to vote. After that, I can’t guarantee that I’ll remember. One of you voters will receive a lovely gift (that I WILL guarantee). You have to vote to win. The link to the live FB video where you can see and vote for the winning structure is a few blog posts back. Part of the strategy is making you work for it! Remember December 24, 2021 at noon is the last day to enter and vote. You don’t have to be local to vote and win. Just over 18 years of age.
As for our sweet little tree, which I love more each day, it’s strange, looking at it and not being able to smell it. It might as well be fake. Jay assures me that it is very fragrant. It is what it is this year. He is uncharacteristically jolly this year! He’s done several shopping trips so far and spent the day yesterday picking up odds and ends for stocking stuffers. I still have some things to do too and might do that today. I’m way behind.
I had to mail a package late yesterday snd on the way home, it was already dark snd there was a bright light in the sky. Had to have been the Christmas Star.
Have a blessed day!
