“Talk to the point, and stop when you have reached it.”
John NealI’m working on brevity lately and I woke up with no real direction of what to write until I looked back at the few photos I’d taken. There was a picture of the matt that the alpacas used to do their business, like a litter box. It reminded me of Barb sharing a story with us when we gathered last week for our Holiday hula hoop get together, of what she saw when she visited our alpacas. To her, it was Aladdin’s Magic Carpet and not a camp rug and what an amazing thing it was how I had them trained to go there. They trained me, believe me! I just put the rug where they had been going so a visitor didn’t get muddy boots and on we went. It just goes to show that when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change. Poop scooping has taken on a whole new meaning now that it’s a magic carpet. Next up? Advent. Over the next few days I want to share some Nativity sets I’ve collected in our travels. This one is from Germany when I paid a visit to my friend Sue who was a teacher for the Air Force. It was a music box but I overwound it once and that was that. No more music. I still love it though. We’re getting closer. The donkey has arrived on the fabric calendar. The church calendar is reminding us that Mary is close to delivering. Are you ready? I’m headed out to get my hair cut today. That always feels good. Then back to the factory. As you go through your day, be kind and forgiving. It’s the least we can do for all that Christ and God has done for us.
In the meantime, do something you’ve never done before. Find your passion and explore it. Every single day is a gift. I’m off to tend my passion.
