“There’s a great power in words, if you don’t hitch too many of them together.”

Josh Billings

I’m going to try to be brief today. It’s a beautiful day out there , although a bit chilly still at only 22*.

I have a few observations on current events. I think I told you last Tuesday that there was a police officer out here looking for a person who had made a complaint about something but couldn’t figure out which house that person lived in. Neither Jay nor I were familiar with the name of the person he was looking for. It wasn’t a neighbor we knew. Coincidentally, it was the day that the two students were apprehended for planning to do a mass shooting at our local high school. (The name was not either of the suspects-the person the officer was looking for called in a complaint.) My hope is that one of my neighbors was the hero who stopped this possible tragedy from happening because of talking and really listening to what their child had to say. Thank you to whoever you are for seeing something and reporting it.

Now to better topics. Advent and Hope. Today, I’ll introduce you to one of the 3 Kings. Mom dressed him in velvet, glitter and, of course, hair. He’s quite regal. Next, the fabric calendar and more sheep. The church calendar. It was Sunday yesterday and despite several detours along the way and power lines and trees down, I made it. I even encountered these sweet cows along the detour. Then we headed to our traditional Eat’n Park brunch and a visit to our favorite, H. Wonder Coffee and Records for a latte. Always the best! What’s on your schedule today? I’ve decided to do a last minute vending opportunity on Wednesday night. More on that later. In the meantime, do something you’ve never done before. Find your passion and explore it. Every single day is a gift. I’m off to tend my passion.

Have a blessed day!
