The key to success, and to happiness, is being fully engaged in life-leading yourself with inspiration and committed action-setting your own fine and honorable example.

Have you felt disengaged during the crazy pandemic? I sure have, but I’ve decided that that’s over now. Time to get back to things.

Can you even believe that Advent starts this Sunday? How did that happen? Do we go straight to decorating for Christmas? I just might. Today would be a great day to do it.

I’m so late getting this out because I had to have some blood drawn this morning and the day just got away from me.

Here’s what I wanted to share. Yesterday, I went to Randy’s BiLo. Have you been there? I haven’t for a very long time. It has to be one of the friendliest and nicest grocery stores around. Locally owned and operated. Even the customers were friendly. No one averted their eyes when you greeted them or looked down. They actually engaged in conversation. I liked it and I’ll go back. I got everything I went for too. I made a silent wager with myself. I said, if I can get everything on my list, I’ll buy Jay some Klondikes. He’s wanted ice cream and we haven’t had any lately. He got his Klondikes! Here’s my cheerful checkout clerk. She was great and happy to use the bags I brought. They buy from local farmers too.

I’m glad I got so many things done outside yesterday because who knew what we were in for today, except the Blessed Mary. She was right.

I can’t wait to tell you where I went and what I did today, so please don’t be upset that you’ll get 2 of these in less than 24 hours. I had some deep thoughts to share about folding laundry too. Oh well.

If you are reading this before 10:30 EDT, tune in to Around the Alleghenies on fox 8. I hear they are doing a story about a special local coffee shop.

In the meantime, do something you’ve never done before. Find your passion and explore it. Every single day is a gift. I’m off to tend my passion.

Have a blessed day!
