“Julie’s like Seinfeld. She writes a post every morning about nothing.”

Dawn Georgevich

The snow has begun for the today!

I had some errands to do yesterday and one was to drop off socks to my friend Dawn. Her mom was also there and all of a sudden, Dawn says to me, “you should keep posting to Facebook”. I knew what she was talking about. When I asked in yesterday’s post whether to keep posting this to FB, she was saying that I should. Her mom, who at 81 and 360 some days but looks and acts like 60 asked what she was talking about, to which Dawn replied with the above reply, “Mom, Julie writes a post every morning about life, her view. She’s like Seinfeld. It’s about nothing.” I think that’s an amazing compliment! That anyone reads it is another. Thanks Dawn, for putting me in such incredible company! Most of all, it should be uplifting and I hope most days it is. Another thing on the list was to get a birthday gift for a special 2 year old great nephew. Little Cooper is having his 2 year birthday celebration today, so I headed to Young Heart Books and Toys in Westmont, right across from the elementary and middle school. It’s so nice to be able to shop so close to home. Ann Kelly makes sure to have a little bit of everything and she is being very careful to choose products made right here in the USA. If you haven’t been there, stop in. They’re open Tuesday thru Saturday and their hours are available on the link above. I can’t show you what I bought because then it won’t be a surprise.

After a few more stops, it was home and I needed to do a bit of cleaning. That always feels so good. Then off to some friends for a quick visit before they attended the Symphony. We’ll have to get tickets for the next one. We’ve been so blessed to get such wonderful conductors and have so many talented musicians here, many of whom we know. We thought we had other things happening last night and so didn’t get tickets. Next time.

I did some more ornaments last night. Now to add the year and they are complete. Yesterday, I took very few pictures. Here’s one of the challenge of rain turning to snow quickly like happened yesterday morning. It freezes the lock. I have to get a lighter out to unfreeze it. You can’t see it very well, but I replace it with a bungee on those days if I can. Then the snow. Too soon for me. It did look beautiful and did melt, but I hope we get some more good weather. I still have some things to do in the barn. I hear 1-3 more inches is headed this way today.

Well, I’ve gotta get on my day so I have something to report tomorrow! These pictures are from yesterday.

In the meantime, stay warm, do something you’ve never done before. Find your passion and explore it. Every single day is a gift. I’m off to tend my passion.

Have a blessed day!
