Daily Reflections From My Window

October 28, 2021 Thursday: Another Day, Another Sock

“Wonder implies the desire to learn.”

I’m still sorting, washing and labeling socks.

I’m finding a few mismatched pairs so I’m trying them out. Like this pair. The tops aren’t the same even though they were paired together. After going through each sock in each mated pair, I couldn’t find matches for them like I did the others. This takes time. I thought they looked like oven mitts. The way the yarn was spun DID give the mill problems and I think what I have is what I have. No more of this style. But they are great sleep socks and since the temps took a nosedive yesterday, they were just what I needed last night. I think I’ll have 10 pairs in size small in black and 4 pairs in the tweed in size small. You will know when I add the link. Just giving you a heads up. And many more in small medium and large crew and short styles.

Since I mentioned the weather, where is my view? I saw a glimpse when I woke up and then it disappeared. Even Mary, the solar flying pig and the weather stick don’t know what to think. Where’s my bench? At least I can see the alpacas! Here’s what I saw upon waking.

I thought the picture above was foggy until I saw what was to come. Glad I got that photo. I really have nothing to share today. More socks are in my future. I have some phone calls to make and maybe some fiber to dye. I have to get back to a rug I’ve been working on for a friend. Lots to do!

In the meantime, do something you’ve never done before. Find your passion and explore it. Every single day is a gift. I’m off to tend my passion.

Have a blessed day!
