Daily Reflections From My Window

October 9, 2021, Saturday: Fort Days Day 2

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

Thanks to all for coming to visit me at my booth in the Loyalhanna Lot at Fort Ligonier Days yesterday! What a beautiful day for October.

We were off to a bumpy start. I think my square app was in the process of updating the software and it wasn’t working so with the grace of you wonderful shoppers we continued with good old US dollars. People still prefer to use cash! I finally figured it out by noon and all is well and we were able to carry on.

We also had one of our tent tabs fall off and go missing, so thanks to my dear nurse cousin Mary, who addressed it like a wound and some jazzy duck tape, we battened down the hatches for the night. Let’s not even talk about the rain we may get today!

The interest on my old Babe spinning wheel never ceases to amaze me. I’ll tell you all about her when I have more time. Here’s a new spinner in training.

His name is Max and I think he has the knack. (Picture used with parents permission.)

Have a great day snd hopefully we’ll see you today.

In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
