Daily Reflections From My Window

October 6, 2021 Wednesday

Larry the Cable Guy

I have to keep this short today so suffice it to say that I may not have time till next week to catch up with you! I’ll be starting to set up tomorrow evening and will hopefully be so busy and organized that I can squeeze in a few social posts. That’s a whole other post, but did you realize, as my friend Denise pointed out, that when FB went down the other day, there are people you wouldn’t have any way to contact without it? I’ll be catching up on that for sure.

Yesterday I worked on sock yarn dyeing. Of course at the last minute, I get an idea which required winding skeins 8′ apart. I’ll show you when they are finished! Here are a few prep photos. I love when a dye exhausts completely. That means I had just the right amount of fiber to dye ratio. The amount of water doesn’t matter as much. More dryer balls too. Now to dry them. It was so nice to work outside yesterday. We’ve had painters here painting our exterior and I didn’t want to get in their way. They finished my outside work area yesterday and I’m grateful. I could be outside and just enjoy. Looks like the leaves are starting to change. Come meet me in person at the Fort Ligonier Days Celebration 2021. I’ll be in the Loyalhanna Lot by the Fort all three days.

For now, I have to start packing for the show!

In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
