Daily Reflections From My Window

August 21, 2021 Saturday A Beautiful Day for a Wedding!

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.”

Jimi Hendrix

Are you as wiped out from watching what’s unfolding in the world as I am?

Turn it off. After my hair appointment, we took a drive towards Bedford yesterday to do just that and the clouds were amazing. Is it just me, or can you see things in the clouds too? They just got better and more beautiful as our drive continued. It was a nice break and believe it or not, one Jay forces me to take. He knows that it’s good to step away from the insanity once in a while.

While I was having my hair colored by the amazingly talented and beautiful, Ivana yesterday, I met a little 6 year old girl named Yvie, who owned an alpaca named Kramer. Of course I asked if he had crazy brown hair like the character on Seinfeld. Her Mimi quickly found a photo and sure enough, he did! Yvie and I struck up a quick friendship talking about our alpacas. You never know who you’ll meet there!

I have several friends going through very tough times now and many who are going through the best times. I pray for peace for all.

I’ve been meaning to show you some garlic I found under the weeds yesterday! Another hidden gem.

Today we’ll be happily celebrating a good friend’s daughter’s wedding celebration. I hope you have something fun on your schedule.

In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
