“The right to property…is not a guarantee that a man will earn any property, but only a guarantee that he will own it if he earns it.”

Ayn Rand

Think about that. It’s a brain twister for sure. I’m so lucky and blessed to look over this beautiful field and view. We bought it. Jay cleared it. We earned it. I love it. I’m still caught up in reading about Ayn Rand. She gives a lot to ponder.

So, this morning, I slept in until 7:30. Those darned Olympics! I stay up too late and then oversleep. Thank goodness my employers are gracious, but getting antsy for grain. Can you tell?

Jay woke up about 5 minutes before I did so that makes this harder. He’s in a really good mood and singing and talking loud and yelling his word of the day, which incidentally is, Trundle”. I read a post aloud to him about a piece of tiny equipment in a knitting group and one of the pieces was a trundle. That reminded him of a guy he golfed with who when a shot ended up in the woods would yell “trundle!” We both love words and their origins around here. Look up trundle if you are interested. Many meanings to a little 2 syllable word.

I’ve got plans today for the sunshiny day, so I’ll be quick. Yesterday was acupuncture. My limbic system is opening up and my adrenal system is healing. It’s a whole treatment guided by a wise team. I asked the nurse to take a picture for me so that I could see where they put the needles. And why. That’ll have to wait, but here is a quick picture. Yes, that’s my belly and that’s my wool dress. It was perfect. I also have pins in my feet, face, scalp and hands. Pretty amazing “technology” used in conjunction with the rest of what I’m doing and I think it is working. I feel a lot better and my doc remarks that I am “nicer” lately. Then he’ll ask “and what does your husband say?” That ALWAYS cracks me up.

Afterwards, feeling relaxed and happy, I headed stopped at DeLallo’s because Jay a hankering for “one of those cream filled things they make.” I picked up a variety for him and some bruschetta chicken for dinner. Then back home to my other therapy of alpaca cleanup. When I deep cleaned last time, I inadvertently left the drainage pipe a bit elevated. It’s working in my favor. Since things roll downhill, the wet run out and I just sweep the dryer pellets up. Who knew?

The dinner of DeLallo’s chicken, salad with homegrown lettuce and herbs and leftover corn was just what the doctor ordered. Jay said it was worth a picture, so I obliged! We have a few pieces of chicken left over and they’ll come in handy tonight. I have a full day with friends planned and then off to hula hooping. What’s on your agenda? I hope you can get outside and appreciate the sunshine! It’s interesting how I miss it when a day starts off gloomy. Today however, it’s glorious!

In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
