“I don’t need a hairstylist, my pillow gives me a new hairstyle every morning.”

Oh I do need my hairstylist! Because of Ivana, even when just I wake up, with this latest haircut, my hair looks great. Jay did order new pillows for us. I think it’s has to do with the pillow case too. I have a satin pillowcase and that’s supposed to make your hair slide on the pillowcase instead of creating friction and knotting up.

I wore my dress most of the day yesterday. I didn’t want to be foolish and wear it just to say I was wearing it when I discovered a box of full of uncleaned bee frames. What was I thinking? I had put them in a big plastic storage bin, covered tight in out basement. I think I intended to clean them later. Who knows how long that was. Yesterday I found them snd opened them up to find larva crawling all around. Unfortunately they weren’t bee larva. The good news is that they were sealed tight and none escaped to mature. That’s where the bleach came in. I filled the container with a strong bleach to water concentration closed the lid and left them to soak overnight, to kill those buggers. Yuck. I’ll spare you the photo. Makes my skin crawl.

I threw my dress on though and headed to the hardware store and dollar general for more bleach. I wanted to be sure I had enough. I also needed a few things for my library craft today.

I settled on a paper bag police dog hand puppet covered with alpaca fiber.

Jay thought it looked like a Scotty Dog. It’s supposed to be a german shepherd dog. Maybe I need to take more brown fiber too.

I have enough for 100 of them.

I spent the evening cutting and assembling supply bags. I can always just have additional brown fiber for detail I suppose. Maybe he needs a tail. That’s why I have extra supplies. Kids are pretty creative.

Here’s a look at the most perfect strawberry I discovered while watering. the basil looks pretty great too.

Jay cut the upper pasture and then we put the alpacas out. They love it when it’s just been cut. I know, you’re thinking that THEY should be cutting it. That’s why I need to get my fence system up. Then they will in an organized manner.

I never did get back to weeding out side yesterday. The ground needs some rain to soften up again. It’s rock hard so I ended up cleaning the barn and spending too much time on that. The day got away from me. Before I new it, the day was almost over and I still needed to assemble these craft bags. What I thought would take about 2 hours took about 5 and I was up way too late doing it! I think I’ll take a nap this afternoon! Even the alpacas were tired. When I went out to herd them in for the night, they had already done it! After a day of grazing, they were busy digesting. Now if only I could get them to close the gate behind themselves.

If you want to make a craft with me snd see a real police dog, the program is called Tales With Tails at the Cambria County Library downtown from 11 AM to 1 PM. We may be able to be outside. Fingers crossed. Here’s the event link.

In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
