“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”
We’re celebrating the 4th with family and friends this weekend,,so I’m sharing a different view from a different window. It’s nice. It’s cozy and full of love.
I don’t have much to say this morning except how blessed I am to be an American. Let’s try to keep our country true to its roots. Freedom from tyranny. Freedom for all. That doesn’t mean that there are no rules and that everything is free. It means that we have choices and for the most part can choose our destiny. Yes we can.
Like if you want to wear the same dress for #100DayDressChallenge you can! I am. Here I am turning it into a top so that I can golf (poorly) in it. It fits perfectly for a Red, White and Blue celebration.
Thank goodness things improved after a few holes. It’s been a few years since I’ve golfed. So I admired the beautiful plants along the way.
I was sitting on the porch and a bug flew down my dress and got stuck, so I got a sting. Thank goodness it wasn’t a wasp. It was some weird bug I’d never seen before. Then we had the most amazing picnic and watched fireworks. It reminded me of growing up in Birdland and sittting on the hill at our neighbor’s the Groves’ house and looking up at the sky to watch the fireworks from Heidelberg race track in Bridgeville. All of the neighborhood converged there and that’s what it was like here at Pike Run. I’ve never seen so many people.
I’ll catch up with photos later but for now, it’s my turn in the shower! I was living in the moment without my camera so will have to get the photos I asked others to take for me later.
In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, get outside for some fresh air and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.
Have a blessed day!
