“In a climate changed world, it is a smart person who thins their trees so that the abnormally high winds can pass through them without damage.”
It IS windy this morning! The wind gusts are supposed to get to to 60mph and last until 6 PM. It seems like God’s way of pruning things. Luckily, Jay has helped along the way too. He’s removed and had some major “widow makers” cut down by the tree pros. They are swaying right now pretty good. 🤞🏻.
Yesterday I took a trip into Pgh with Jack. It was a nice day, just the two of us. Madison lent him to me for the day and it was so nice! We’ll have to do it again. It’s been a while. We’ve all been so busy! I get Madison all day tomorrow!
A stop at IKEA was the goal and I saw this chair and was attracted to the slipcover. I couldn’t find the slipcovers anywhere! We have two of these barrel chairs and the slipcover would have been perfect. I’ll have to look on their website. I grabbed a catalogue. Their set up seemed a little different. I remember just meandering through the showroom area and things were tagged with where you could find them. No tags at all on these chairs and lots of signs about how you must stay out of certain set ups due to Covid and social distancing. Then the bulk of the store seems to be the self serve marketplace. I must have gone in the wrong door or something. Of course I got a few things. Not the slipcovers, but I’ll keep looking.
I thought that this iPad stand would make a great gift for someone, but couldn’t find it anywhere. It must not have been my day. I guess I’ll have to go back. I can’t even remember what I got. Oh! I got a hand display for my mittens and some drawer dividers. Nothing exciting. This wind is crazy. We slept last night with the windows open and it was so nice. The sound of the wind woke us up.
The alpacas are hunkered down and not the least bit bothered. Their rug has flipped and I’m headed out to fix that soon. What do you have planned for this blustery day? I’m not sure! Probably continued spring cleaning.
In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of an alpaca cria (which is a baby alpaca and about 3 feet long) between you and the next person.
Have a blessed day!
*Edited to add: Now the power has gone off. Good thing it’s warm.
