“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” Zig Ziglar
We got more snow. It’s winter after all. Here’s Jay snow blowing yesterday. And then relaxing afterwards. It was pretty nice out. No real wind makes such a difference.
He’ll be back at it today in a bit.
He’s my new model! And yes, that is an alpaca hat that I made just for him.
Today is my first day of not being a Macaroni Kid publisher. It was a really hard decision, but it was time. I need to focus on fiber, even though that has been low on my list. I need to re-engage with my fiber groups. I’m more of a people person than I ever knew and it’s a real eye opener. I need interaction and groups for inspiration. Thank goodness for social media right now, I suppose.
Last night our sweet Madison and Jack had us to their place for dinner. She made chicken Alfredo from scratch and it was delicious! They surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate my stepping back from MacKid. So thoughtful! My favorites! Chocolate cake and Graeter’s ice cream! Raspberry chocolate chip. Doesn’t get any better than that. Except it does-the message!
Of course it was the first day in a while that I didn’t have makeup on! But look at how cute they are! The cake had fudge icing and was so good! I just wish I could have tasted it! Yes, I think at some point, probably when Jay had it, I must have had Covid. It’s been about 2 months since I could taste or smell.
They are so thoughtful and I will definitely be spending more time with them. Madison says that she tells her friends when they go through life changes to give yourself 2 weeks to get used to it and then 2 more. Soon, your new path will be there and you won’t even miss it. She pointed out one of the biggest blessings of being involved with MacKid and that was getting to know and love the Lazzari family. So true! We’ll still do things together! She’s a smart cookie Jack, 😉😘
Today is a new day and I actually have a few things to accomplish today.
We’re getting closer to blooming here. Maybe later. In the meantime, be thankful for every blessing. They are everywhere. And-
Remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of a full grown llama (which is bigger than an alpaca) between you and the next person.
Have a blessed day!
