Daily Reflections From My Window

January 29, 2021, Friday

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

Les Brown.

Now I think I need to find a new dream. Along with all of the ones scrambling around in my head. I finish with my Macaroni Kid family at the end of this month. Just a few more days. I hope they choose the person I recommended. It’s like leaving your child with a babysitter for the first time.

On the other hand, it’s time. We had a Medicare advisor here yesterday for Jay. That starts soon for him. I still have a few years. Here’s Allen Smith, if you need one. He walked us through the best choices and I guess I’ll be calling him when it’s my turn. Our friend Barb recommended him and she was right. He made it clear and easier. Jay said that it saved him hours of sifting through the gobbledygook on the website.

We also watched the grand dog, Conner, yesterday while Jack and Madison had a little trip planned for the day. He is energetic for sure, but such a good pup. Lots to sniff and explore. He likes my soft seating too.

He was on the trail of the dog who never wanders, the other random dog and whatever else has tracked through our yard lately. I got a few walks in throughout the day. But I think I need a less energetic dog if that time comes. Like a pug. Jay and I took him for a few walks together and then alternated throughout the day. He’s a sweetie.

It’s slowly but surely getting ready to bloom. Maybe today?

I can hear the wind blowing and the thermometer reads about 8*. What is the real feel temp? I don’t think I want to know! The sun IS peaking out though.

The sun always brings hope for a warm day. But-it IS January in the mountains of Pa, after all.

The story we are following is the crazy price of GameStop stock. What’s going on? No way it should be that high. Crazy times.

Yes, I believe that God created my inmost being and has something in store. I don’t ever want to be too old to dream a new dream. How about you?

Remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of a full grown llama (which is bigger than an alpaca) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
