Daily Reflections From My Window

January 10, 2021 Sunday

“Patience is necessary, and one cannot reap immediately where one has sown.”

Søren Kierkegaard.

It’s about 10* to start today. Brrrr.

I think it’s supposed to warm up. Or at least I hope so. I have to do herd health and it’s so nice if it is a bit warmer. It’s also more pleasant if the alpacas are dry and for that we need a few days with no precipitation.

I don’t have much to contribute to the world right now.

Yesterday I went and picked up the remaining inventory from the Merry Makers event at Bottle Works. The shutdown cut down the foot traffic and sales were slower all around, Melody shared, but she also convinced me to keep a variety of items there because as she says…it IS January and warm items sell.

I wish I’d thought to take a picture.

Then we had some friends over for dinner after a nice long walk and it was so nice! They are so sweet and Amy, knowing of my health challenges, gave me this book. I can’t wait to dive in to it.

Right now I’m waiting for online church to start and then out to tend my livestock. Then fiber. I can’t wait!

Remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of a full grown llama (which is bigger than an alpaca) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
