Daily Reflections From My Window

December 31, 2020 Thursday, New Years Eve

“I hope you all realize Jan 1st 2021, is really just another day….not a miracle fix…”

Jan Massie, Fiber Artist Extraordinaire

It snowed again overnight and is snowing now. I hope it’s not ice underneath because I’m going out this morning to get coiffed for our at home New Years Eve.

It was so beautiful yesterday that we took a walk on the mountain. It was still pretty snow covered and the tracks that were made were icy but we still made 3+ miles at a snails pace.

It got even trickier.

Oh look! A heart shaped chunk of ice!

Along the gas line.

A tiny bird nest.

I guess this is necessary.

Next we decided it was so beautiful that we went into Westmont and walked almost 3 more miles. We ran into some friends, had a brief chat and then continued on our separate ways, Covid and all. Can’t walk together.

Towards the end of our walk, the sky changed and looked amazing.

I reduced a few of my supplements yesterday and DID feel better. I made an appointment to see my doctor but can’t get in until January 15 unfortunately.

My friend Jan is correct. Tomorrow is a new day, and I wish for a miracle fix but it’s really up to us. There ARE things we can’t control but there is so much we can. One day at a time, my friends.

The snow is picking up and I have things to do so I will wish you a Happy New Years Eve! Celebration Johnstown Chairman Lauren has put together an amazing Virtual Celebration Johnstown event including fireworks for the town! That woman is an amazing force and I am so grateful to have her in my life.

You can watch the program tonight here starting at 6:30. That’s what we’ll be doing.

Remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of a full grown llama (which is bigger than an alpaca) between you and the next person.

Have a blessed day!
