Daily Reflections From My Window

November 7, 2020 Saturday

It is for your own good to love a dare-devil rather than a holy coward. A dare-devil is a unique devil, battling your fears, your pains, conquering your uncertainties, carrying you his arms, and flying out of the corrosive fire. The coward is a trickster serpent, which vanishes in your time of despair, and appears in time of equanimity.

It’s another glorious day outside. Yesterday I did my chores early and then had my hair appointment. Ivana does such a nice job on my hair and this one I can do or not do, myself.

No bangs. I like it. I’ve had bangs since kindergarten.

I had some Boo Baskets to deliver-to the winner of the Laurel Wood Care Center drive thru Ghost Hunt and then gave the rest to the receptionist for the residents. Don’t worry-I had my mask on and was not permitted inside. I hope they like them. When I got home I didn’t want to get all dirty even though I had intended to blow dust out of fiber but ended up putting things in order in my studio. It looks like a bomb exploded in there. It will be nice when I can think straight again. I watched as Jay prepped a new section for more flowers. Then we took a walk down the lane. It was a beautiful evening and so quiet.

Jay and the posey patch.

I made Classic Black Bean Tacos from our Hungry Root box. The jury is still out. This menu was great but I added the spicy chicken sausage leftover from the last box and sour cream. Sometimes these meals are pretty bland. They use very little garlic and I love garlic. Jay liked them so that’s something.

It looked just like this! Though the beans were mushier, I added more lettuce and there was sour cream.

Then I settled into my favorite spot-the corner of my couch to watch my favorite show. Tucker Carlson. He is the history teacher I never had. He explains things so well and why they matter (just like Jay does). So here is his explanation of what is happening. He makes the point that Donald Trump has been running around the country and Biden sat in his basement and it didn’t matter because the deal had been done. This should scare all of us. For those of you who voted for Biden. Do you even know who you voted for? At least I know that I voted for the loud mouth businessman who gets things done. Maybe that will be tomorrow. A list. Today will be interesting. Now there’s a software glitch that changed Republican votes to democrat. Interesting. Janey, no need to post a rebuttal. We’ll watch in real time what happens.

Remember to wash your hands, don’t touch your face, stay home but if you MUST go out, wear a mask and keep the length of a full grown llama (which is bigger than an alpaca) between you and the next person.
Have a blessed day!

The bees were busy on this beautiful day.
